Eating a simple diet has its benefits. We know what we like and how we like it, this allows us to keep kitchen prep to a minium. I prep food in bulk by making batches of fermented sauerkraut and amounts of steamed or roasted veggies large enough to have leftovers. Personally, I prefer to live outside the kitchen.
