This easy keto cheeseburger pie is perfect for a low-stress dinner any day of the week! Flavored with simple everyday ingredients, it is sure to be a new family favorite. Plus, you probably already have these budget-friendly ingredients in your fridge right now.
Preheat the oven to 350 °F and lightly grease a 9-inch round pie plate or 8x8-inch baking dish with 1 teaspoon of butter or cooking spray.
Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Add cooking fat if your meat is lean, although usually the meat is fatty enough and doesn't stick to the pan. Then, transfer to the baking dish.
Add the butter to the skillet and brown the onions until translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Stir frequently.
While the onions cook, whisk the eggs in a bowl. Add the herbs, salt and pepper. Pour the egg mixture over the beef. Shake the dish gently if needed, so it sinks down around the meat.
Arrange the onions in an even layer on top and sprinkle the surface with shreedded cheese.
Bake for 20 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly. Allow the cheeseburger pie to rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
