Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 °F(175 °C).
  • Brown the beef in a skillet over medium-high heat on the stovetop. Once cooked, drain the grease by placing the meat on a paper towel-lined plate. Let the paper absorb the extra fat for a few minutes.
    1 pound ground beef
  • Return the meat to the skillet. Add cream cheese and mix well to combine. Pour the bone broth in the pan, cover, and bring to a boil.
3 ounces cream cheese, ½ cup bone broth
  • Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and reduce the heat to a simmer. Continue cooking uncovered for 5 minutes at a simmer, until the liquid reduces and thickens slightly.
½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Transfer beef to an oven-safe baking dish. Drain the canned green beans and spread in an even layer over the meat. Top with shredded cheese and bake for 25 minutes until the cheese melts completely. Serve warm.
2 (14-ounce) can green beans, 1 cup cheddar cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese

Notes

Did you know traditional green bean casserole often includes soy sauce? If you like the tangy zip, add 2 teaspoons of Keto Soy Sauce to the beef while browning it on the stovetop.
Top the shredded cheese with (optional) 1/4 cup of crumbled bacon bits if you love a crunchy texture. They are better than French’s crispy fried onions!
