Description
Cacao offers many nutritional and life-enhancing benefits
Loaded with antioxidants (40 times the amount as blueberries), iron (the highest plant-based source of iron), magnesium, calcium, and selenium the fermented seed of the cacao fruit pod is a like a mini multivitamin. Cacao can also provide a boost in energy and has been known to elevate mood and relieve depression.
Cacao products are great sources of healthy fats and may mildly suppress appetite due to the function of MAO inhibitors.

I’m a huge chocolate lover and eat kakosi brand unsweetened chocolate liquor all the time when I’d get chocolate cravings. Pacari paste is leagues above kakosi. Its bitter but has less of a sharp bite. The bitterness is milder and richer and lingers without leaving a residue feeling in your mouth. I noticed it has its own slight sweetness. I’m not sure if it has to do with the less bitter quality or just the purity of this chocolate. This stuff can be eaten right out of the bag! I had planned to try Jessica’s zucchini chocolate chip cookies with this but its almost to good to spoil with other ingredients!

im going to order this product but was wondering what is the magnesium content for this roughly? trying to get extra magnesium in my diet

About 150 mg per 50 grams of paste. This cacao is very high quality, meaning it will have a larger concentration of minerals and vitamins compared to a low-quality product.

Hi Jessica,
I’ve just bought your keto cook book and it’s great, thank you so much. I’d like to try the Dark Keto Chocolate where this paste is used in the cooking process but unfortunately it’s not available in the uk. However I have been able to get my hands on Pacari Raw Organic chocolate 100% cacao which is featured as a related product. Before I start making these chocolates I just wanted to ask you what the difference is between the paste and the bar, specially taste wise, if there is a difference? And if so whether I could add in any additional ingredients to the melted bar to get the same kind of taste as the paste? Thank you very much, Simon

You can sub the paste for bakers chocolate. It’s great you found Pacari bars! They are a finer product than the the paste, best just eaten straight I think as a delicacy. But would likely work in the recipe if you want to try it.
